Our School

Mission

In the Spirit of Christ's Love, to preach the Gospel, to provide wholistic care, to serve the community.

History

Most of our social services were established in the early 80s. They were primarily set up by the Christian & Missionary Alliance (C&MA) and were managed by the respective churches. Our service units mainly include neighbourhood elderly centres, day nursery schools, community centres, self-study centres, and other self-financed service units. Since January 1990, the planning and development of C&MA’s social services is officially managed by the Christian & Missionary Alliance Church Union Hong Kong, which set up the social services office (formerly known as the Central Administrative Unit) to be responsible for service implementation. Since 1990, the C&MA has also officially become a member organization of The Hong Kong Council of Social Service and has become a member organization of The Community Chest since May 1992.

Our current services include:

  • Elderly Services
Our elderly services started in 1983. We currently have four government-funded elderly neighbourhood centres and two non-government-funded elderly centres, which serve elderly in Hong Kong Island, Kowloon, and new towns respectively.

  • Child Care services
Our Child Care services started in 1983. We currently have six government-funded nursery schools, which are located in various areas in Hong Kong Island, Kowloon, and the New Territories, providing a safe, happy and comprehensive learning environment for children aged 2 to 6.

  • Counselling Services
The C&MA established the C&MA Personal Growth and Counselling Centre in 2007, which provides case and group counselling services for individuals and families, pre-marital counselling services, and personal growth courses. The centre also provides training courses for pastoral staff, professional counsellors, and social workers.

  • Children's Growth/Parental Support

Established in 2002, the Children Development and Support Center provides a wide range of activities and support services for families in the community. The center organizes parent-child playgroups and regularly hosts festive-themed family events. Through diverse activities such as storytelling, music and movement, arts and crafts, and snack-making, children could explore new things. The center also offers a toy and book library service, allowing children and parents to read and engage in various toy games in a comfortable environment, promoting healthy child development and enhancing parent-child relationships.

  • Other Services

In response to the changing needs of the community, our organization plans, establishes, and implements innovative service programs. We also provide family counseling services, youth services, and self-study room services. For more details, please visit our website.
