Support

Integrated Programme
Two special childcare workers take care of twelve children with special educational needs, who are provided with individual counselling, lifestyle training and social learning, so they can grow happily with other children to achieve integrated education effectively. (Referrals for this service are made through the Central Referral System of the Social Welfare Department).

On-site Service

Our school has participated in the “On-Site Pre-school Rehabilitation Services” scheme introduced by the Social Welfare Department through subsidized rehabilitation service organizations, providing support to children on the pre-school rehabilitation services waiting list. SAHK provides services for our school, and arrange physiotherapists, occupational therapists, speech therapists, and special child care teachers to provide on-site assessments, lesson observations, and trainings for children participating in the scheme according to their needs. Besides, psychologists will provide case support for the school, helping teachers and parents to guide children’s learning.

School Social Worker

Social worker is stationed at the school every Tuesday and Friday to provide parents with personal emotion and parent-child parenting consultation/counselling services. The social worker also organizes parent-child and parent workshops from time to time, allowing parents to recognize the developmental needs of children. Besides, the social worker will let children express their feelings or struggles through children play therapy approaches, and let children recognize their needs and cultivate self-confidence through children developmental class and interest groups.
